US Secretary of State Marco Rubio has said that the US is ready to meet with Iranian officials at the United Nations.

Marco Rubio added in an interview to American TV that he is ready to talk to the Iranians on the sidelines of the UN meeting.

The American foreign minister said that currently no meeting is scheduled with the Iranian officials coming to New York, a meeting with the Iranian officials is not out of the question.

He also said that the United States is ready for it if progress is expected in the talks with the Iranian authorities.
